I was born in Denver and raised in Aurora, a proud native Coloradan shaped by the communities that lifted me up. In 2008, I moved to Fort Collins, and eight years ago my family and I put down even deeper roots in Wellington—a place that truly reflects the hope and fresh start I once needed.
My journey has not been easy. I am a survivor of sexual abuse and domestic violence. At 22, I was a single mom navigating the world with grit and determination. At 35, as a divorced mother of four, I was still fighting to rebuild my life after trauma, heartache, and the consequences of choices made in survival mode.
Today, I am married to my husband, Tim, who has been my partner in healing and in building a life defined by love, purpose, and service. Together, we share five children—four from my early journey and one welcomed into the world with Tim. And along the way, I gained two more incredible young adults who had tough upbringings of their own and whom I “adopted in my heart.” They are family in every sense that matters. I am also the proud grandmother of two amazing granddaughters, and our home is joyfully rounded out by two wonderful dogs who bring us constant laughter and comfort.
I am living proof that second chances matter, that support systems save lives, and that every person is more than the hardest chapters of their story. This lived experience grounds everything I do. It is why I serve—with empathy, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to strengthening the community that helped me rebuild my life.

I have built a professional career grounded in hard work, adaptability, and hands-on leadership. I spent years in construction and project management, overseeing projects that required coordination, precision, and accountability. I also worked as a consultant supporting small business owners in the construction industry as they navigated complex regulatory, operational, and budgeting challenges. Later, I expanded my professional path into restaurant management and entrepreneurship, owning my own consulting (construction & political) and e-commerce businesses for more than a decade. These experiences taught me how to solve problems, manage tight budgets, work collaboratively, and make decisions with real-world impact. I’ll bring that same discipline, transparency, and practical understanding to the County Commissioner Office.
